Tower block fire safety checks have been cut by a quarter since the Tories came to power. The Sunday People has learned that the number of fire safety audits dropped from 84,575 in 2010-11 to 63,201 in 2015-16, a 25 per cent dip: here.

Revealed: the tower block fire warnings that ministers ignored. Fire chief tells of repeated rebuffs by ministers as Theresa May admits Grenfell victims were let down: here.

Grenfell Tower victims “badly let down” by Government that ignored fire threat and failed to make flats fire safe. The Grenfell Tower fire is not the first blaze in a high rise block to claim lives, and action needs to be taken now to make safety improvements: here.

For years, I’ve seen Kensington’s poor treated with disdain. Whether it was incompetence or a deliberate plan of ‘social cleansing’, landlords have not treated residents with the respect they deserve: here.
