US presents ‘more of a threat than rogue states‘

THE possibility of nuclear annihilation does not come from rogue states but from “the American empire,” Civil Service union PCS’s vice president argued yesterday.
Speaking at the Jimmy Reid Foundation fringe at the STUC, John McInally said: “I profoundly disagree with the demonisation of countries like Russia and Iran,” claiming the US presents a much larger threat than “rogue states.”
Britain’s nuclear programme Trident hit the headlines again yesterday following Prime Minister Theresa May’s confirmation that she would launch a pre-emptive nuclear strike “if necessary.”
The statement came as the Tories continued to exploit the divisions in Labour on Trident renewal.
