USA: Chicago protesters decry Trump’s missile strike on Syria

Around a hundred people hit the streets of Chicago, Friday, to protest US President Donald Trump-ordered airstrikes on Al-Shayrat Airbase in Syria.

The protesters gathered in front of Trump Tower, before marching down Chicago’s Michigan Avenue. They held placards with slogans reading “No US war on Syria” and chanting “Humanitarian that’s a lie, they don’t care, its Syria’s time.”

Around 200 anti-war protesters gathered in downtown San Francisco, Friday, to protest US President Donald Trump-ordered airstrikes on Al-Shayrat Airbase in Syria.

Protesters held signs with slogans such as “Hands off Syria” and chanted against imperialism and against US intervention in Syria and the Middle East.

The protest was organised by anti-war organisation the Answer Coalition. The protest is being held simultaneously in dozens of cities nation-wide.

Protesters gathered outside the White House, in Washington DC, Friday, to protest against US President Donald Trump-ordered airstrikes on Al-Shayrat Airbase in Syria.

Protesters held signs with slogans such as “No war on Syria” and “Bombing Syria doesn’t protect people. It kills them.”

The protest was held by members of anti-war organisations The Answer Coalition and Code Pink, as well as students from nearby George Washington University, amongst others.
