This 29 March 2017 photo by Peter Broere shows an almost white, probably leucistic, black-tailed godwit in the Zaanse Rietveld nature reserve in the Netherlands.
White black-tailed godwits only very rarely reach adulthood, as their lack of camouflage makes them easy prey for predators.
