In an action that demonstrates both the arrogance of the incoming Trump administration and its oligarchic character, the real estate billionaire has named his own son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to the powerful position of senior White House adviser: here.

  1. During his campaign, Trump promised he would make no cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. He said it would be unfair to the people who have been paying into those programs for years.

Now Republicans have proposed a budget that would throw 30 million Americans off their health insurance. They want to privatize Medicare, raise prescription costs, and reduce Social Security benefits, which serves as the primary source of income for the majority of seniors.

Tomorrow Bernie is introducing a budget amendment that would prevent Senate Republicans from breaking Donald Trump’s campaign promise to make no cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. Will you help make sure that enough senators support his amendment so it will be passed?

Call your senators to tell them to support Bernie’s amendment to protect health care and Social Security benefits for millions of Americans.

The Republicans’ proposal to cut spending on Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security is out of touch with what the American people want. Most Americans think that the federal government should be spending more on these programs, not less.

We can’t sit back and allow 30 million people to be denied health care and Social Security benefits. Our goal is to expand health care, not cut health insurance for tens of millions of Americans.

Last week Bernie took to the Senate floor with a gigantic printout of one of Trump’s tweets promising not to cut Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

Bernie’s doing his part to make sure Republicans don’t take away health care for millions of Americans – now we have to do ours as well by telling his colleagues in the Senate to vote in support of Bernie’s amendment:

Call your senators right now to urge them to support Bernie’s amendment that would prevent Republicans from making cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

Thank you for stepping up to make sure Bernie’s amendment is passed.

    In solidarity,
