[‘Center’-right presidential candidate] François Fillon is prescribing a “shock therapy” for France, in “a blitzkrieg fashion”. Blitzkrieg, or lightning war, was employed by Hitler’s armies. It relied on the surprise element, the rapidity of the maneuvers and the brutality of the assault. Surprise, rapidity, brutality. But who is the target of Fillon’s war?
