Dutch breeding birds in 2016

This is an osprey video from Spain.

The Dutch SOVON ornithologists report today about breeding birds in 2016.

For the first time, as far as is known, a young osprey has fledged in the Netherlands.

Red kites and black kites have this year become really established as nesting birds.

2016 was a good year for Cetti’s warblers; and for middle spotted woodpeckers.

However, it brought bad news for corn buntings.
