CNN interviewed several female Trump supporters regarding their thoughts on the Billy Bush tape and all of the sexual assault allegations. Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian, hosts of The Young Turks, break it down.
“CNN spoke to supporters of Donald Trump at an Eau Claire, Wisconsin rally Tuesday, and found that they are not bothered at all by accusations that he may have sexually assaulted and harassed up to a dozen women.
“Donald Trump really has the character of God: a loving, caring father,” one woman told CNN’s Randi Kaye. “Donald Trump is a man God chose for a time such as this.”
“I think we’ve all fallen short from what God expects,” said another.
When one woman was asked about Trump’s hot mic comments about “grabbing [women] by the pussy,” she protested that the press manufactured the issue. “Some of that the media has made it be worse than it is. It doesn’t bother me,” she said.
And yes, not even the allegations of sexual assault could sway their vote. “I think those women need to grow a set, personally,” said one female supporter. “You know, it’s been a lot of years. Get over it.”
