This 5 October 2016 video shows rare otter triplets, in De Onlanden nature reserve in Drenthe province in the Netherlands.
Dutch NOS TV writes about it today (translated):
According to RTV Drenthe this is the first time that the protected marten relative species gives birth to triplets in De Onlanden. The other litters in the past year and a half were all twins.
The little otters were filmed with their mother. The images from the camera trap show that the triplets are going to swim in a pool.
The otter was reintroduced in the Netherlands in 2002 after extinction in 1988. Since then, the population is making a comeback.
