Baby Southern Flying Squirrels or kittens or “kits” are about the cutest little squirrels you’ll ever see. I was blessed when one of the adults brought a child along to eat the other night.
Not much bigger than a large mouse they are incredibly precious, but just as ravenous as the adults. This little one is probably 4 to 6 weeks out of the nest and has a bit of growing to do. I’m making progress with befriending the little things as I can now stand right next to them for awhile before they take their flying leaps into thin air.
