Saudi Arabia’s MiSK Foundation inks deal with Bill Gates for charity
Sunday, 26 June 2016
Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, chairman of the Riyadh-based MiSK Foundation for charity, inked a cooperation deal with Bill Gates, the co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
The deal was signed during the deputy crown prince’s two-week visit to the United States.
Does the charity in the Saudi absolute monarchy include flogging bloggers for blogging, flogging women for driving, and beheading teenagers for demonstrating peacefully for democracy?
Saudi Arabia ‘should be suspended from the UN Human Rights Council’, say leading human rights groups. Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have called for Riyadh’s suspension over its conduct in Yemen: here.
