This 14 May 2016 video shows the osprey nest in Biesbosch national park in the Netherlands; the first ever Dutch osprey nest, as far as is known. In the video, the parent ospreys change position to sit on the eggs.
According to Staatsbosbeheer, today one or more baby ospreys have hatched. Wardens saw that as the parents’ behaviour had changed.
It will take about three weeks to know how many young ospreys have hatched. The surroundings of the nest have been closed off, in order not to disturb the birds.
