Great egret babies, video

Happy Earth Day! Three baby Great Egret chicks in the nest guarded by one of the parents. They are only recently hatched! There is a cache of food in the nest. 100 years ago egrets and herons were nearly extinct in Florida and the southeast due to the feather trade – today they are thriving!
