Cameron did have offshore shares after all

British Prime Minister David Cameron did have shares in an offshore company that was founded by his father. He sold them in 2010 for £ 30,000, he admitted in an interview on British television.

… The prime minister said earlier this week that he had no shares in offshore companies. “I have a salary as prime minister, some savings and a house.”

The leader of the opposition Labour party, Corbyn, demanded an investigation into the matter.

Cameron’s father’s name appeared in the Panama Papers, leaked documents from a Panamanian financial office.

David Cameron admits he did have a stake in father’s offshore investment fund after Panama Papers leak. ‘We owned 5,000 units in Blairmore Investment Trust, which we sold in January 2010. That was worth something like £30,000’: here.
