Sanders wins Michigan, USA, as Muslims prefer Jewish candidate

Michigan‘s Muslim Vote Delivers Sanders Big Primary Win

8 March 2016

It turns out Michigan’s Muslim vote went heavily in favor of Bernie Sanders in the 2016 Democratic primary election. Why do Arabs have issues with Hillary Clinton? Ana Kasparian, Cenk Uygur, John Iadarola and Ben Mankiewicz of The Young Turks discuss.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) pulled off an upset victory in the Michigan primary Tuesday, picking up the majority of delegates in a state seen as a must-win for him to maintain a place in the Democratic race: here.

Polls Got It Seriously Wrong In Michigan’s Democratic Primary. A swing and a Mich for pollsters, who said Hillary Clinton would easily win the state: here.

The victory for Sanders was powered by an 81 percent margin among voters younger than 30. Sanders won nearly every county outside the Detroit metropolitan area. He more than doubled his support among African-American voters, from 15 percent in recent primaries in the South to over 30 percent: here.

  1. The results are in and we were just declared the winner in a very important state for our campaign: Michigan. That’s a major, game-changing victory for our campaign.

The corporate media counted us out. The pollsters said we were way behind. The Clinton super PACs spent millions against us across the country. We were hit with a dishonest attack in the debate. But we won, again… and if we continue to stand together, we can win this nomination.

One week from today, five large and delegate-rich states vote. Time and time again, your support has enabled us to overcome large deficits and emerge victorious. But you can expect the political establishment to come after us even harder now. The super PACs are going to spend even more. We have to be prepared to fight back.

Make a $3 contribution to our campaign right now, and we’re going to keep winning states so that we can win this Democratic primary.

Millions of people have come out to vote for our political revolution. They have donated more than 5 million times to our campaign. And together, we are sending a message to the oligarchy that we are not to be underestimated.

    In solidarity,

    Bernie Sanders

  2. There’s no avoiding it now:

BREAKING: DONALD TRUMP WINS MICHIGAN, MISSISSIPPI PRIMARIES

Donald Trump is likely going to be the Republican nominee for President.

It’s an appalling situation — especially after Trump based his campaign around his dangerous brand of hateful rhetoric.

Yet to this day, Paul Ryan continues to say he will support Donald Trump.

Speaker Ryan: “I plan to support the nominee” — even if it’s Trump.

    lola — we’ve had enough.

The silence of top Republicans is no longer acceptable.

Americans must demand that Paul Ryan refuse to support Donald Trump’s candidacy.

  3. By the time the polls closed in Michigan last night, the corporate media had written us off. The political establishment was trying to get us out of the race, and the Clinton campaign was eager to “wrap up” the primary as soon as possible.

But the people of Michigan had other ideas. Last night our political revolution scored “one of the greatest upsets in modern political history,” and we’re seeing the same kind of come-from-behind momentum all across America.

Next Tuesday is the most important night for our campaign to date. Five large states vote, and we have all the momentum. And what we’ve shown is that when we come together, we have what it takes to overcome what was once thought to be an inevitable campaign.

The financial and political elite of this country are going to throw everything they have at us this week. The stakes are too high for them. I need your support if we’re going to be able to fight back and win.

Contribute $3 to our campaign today and we are going to win this Democratic primary, the White House, and take back our country from the billionaire class.

This is going to be a long, hard fight. And we’ve only done as well as we have because millions of people have come together to say they’ve had ENOUGH of the billionaire class buying elections in this country.

If we continue to fight, and if you contribute, we are going to win.

    In solidarity,

    Bernie Sanders

  4. “And I am proud that the gentleman who is head of Goldman Sachs, now he didn’t give me $225,000 for speaking fees. He said I was dangerous. And he is right, I am dangerous for Wall Street.” – Bernie Sanders at tonight’s debate

Are you watching tonight’s debate? It’s almost over and Bernie is doing VERY WELL to build on the momentum from last night’s historic victory in Michigan.

But we are still short of hitting our goal of $5 million raised since the polls closed in Michigan last night. Add your $3 contribution to our campaign before midnight tonight, and we’ll get there.

Help us reach $5 million dollars since the Michigan polls closed last night

Five very important, delegate-rich states vote next Tuesday. This is the most important week of our campaign. The super PACs who are trying to tip the balance for Hillary Clinton are going to give us everything they’ve got. It’s coming … and we have to be prepared to fight, respond and win.

Add your $3 contribution before midnight tonight, and we’re going to do very, very well next Tuesday night.

What we are proving on this campaign is that when people come together, anything is possible.
