Pro-refugee demonstration, Leiden, the Netherlands

On 1 March 2016, the local council of Leiden, the Netherlands, discussed refugees. As this blog announced, outside the city hall there was a pro-refugee demonstration.

The refugee-hating extreme right said they would demonstrate as well, but they failed to turn up.

Among the slogans of the over 100 pro-refugee demonstrators were Say it loud, say it clear, refugees are welcome here. And: refugees are welcome, racism is not.
