Woodcock goes up and down, video


This video is by wildlife photographer Ruurd Jelle van der Leij from the Netherlands. He had seen woodcocks before the one on this video. But this was the first time he had seen one bobbing its body up and down.

So far, Ruurd Jelle van der Leij knew these movements only from a smaller relative of the woodcock, the jack snipe. See the video below.
