Belgian rail workers on strike

This video says about itself:

6 January 2016

A rail strike in Belgium brings train travel to a near standstill in the French-speaking half of the country, with all services connecting Brussels to London and Paris scrapped.

From daily The Morning Star in Britain:

Thursday 7th January 2016

Railway stations were deserted yesterday as a 48-hour strike began, with Eurostar services to Paris and London affected.

Unions are protesting against government cost-cutting plans they say will destroy thousands of jobs and rail services at a time when environmentally friendly public transport is essential.

They said no serious talks had taken place in 2015 to seek a compromise.
