Donald Trump Calls For ‘Complete Shutdown’ Of Muslims Entering U.S.
Seriously?

12/07/2015 04:39 pm ET

WASHINGTON — Republican presidential hopeful and real estate mogul Donald Trump is calling for a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States” following deadly terror attacks involving Islamic extremists in California and France. …

Corey Lewandowski, Trump‘s campaign manager, told The Associated Press that the ban would apply to “everybody,” including Muslims seeking tourist visas. …

Trump‘s call to bar Muslim immigration into the U.S. is just the latest in a series of anti-Islamic statements. He previously suggested shuttering certain mosques in the U.S. and claimed he saw footage of American Muslims cheering after the 9/11 attacks — footage that no television network has been able to dig up.

There is some evidence that such anti-Muslim rhetoric has support among GOP primary voters. According to Public Policy Polling, which has regularly polled voters on their attitudes toward Muslims, a significant portion of GOP primary voters in North Carolina believe Islam should be outright illegal in the United States. …

“But just as it is the responsibility of Muslims around the world to root out misguided ideas that lead to radicalization, it is the responsibility of all Americans — of every faith — to reject discrimination,” Obama said. “It is our responsibility to reject religious tests on who we admit into this country. It’s our responsibility to reject proposals that Muslim-Americans should somehow be treated differently.”

While apparently distancing the company from Trump’s anti-Muslim sentiments, a spokesman told The Independent that Mr Trump’s politics would not affect their partnership: here.

People on the terror watch list often can’t even board a commercial airplane.

But they can stroll into a gun store and purchase a military-style assault weapon.

And alarmingly, they do. Between 2004 and 2014, over 2,000 people on the FBI’s terror watch list legally bought guns.

Last week, Democrats voted to keep deadly weapons out of the hands of people on the FBI’s terror watch list THREE times. But EVERY. SINGLE. REPUBLICAN. voted to block these laws.

With mass shootings occurring nearly every day in the US, we need to answer President Obama’s call to action and pass new gun safety laws.

We need to turn the pressure up on the Republicans immediately.

SIGN ON: Demand Congressional Republicans pass common-sense gun reform >>

    This is the bottom line:

76% of American gun owners — including 71% of NRA members — want to prohibit people on the terror watch list from purchasing deadly guns.

We can win this battle and push through common-sense gun laws. But we need to garner momentum, collect petition signatures, and pressure the GOP to fold.

  3. Maria Balkar – Clearly this ‘Muslim’ woman has NOT read the Koran.
Does she agree with how women are treated in Saudi Arabia?
Does she agree that when Muslim men enter heaven – wherever THAT is supposed to be – they have virgins waiting for them. Does she tell us what the virgins might think about this promise?
Does she agree with female mutilation?
And finally, just WHAT have pigs done to Muslims that they are so discriminated against?

    • Hi,

It is Marwa Balkar, not ‘Maria Balkar’.

Very probably she did read the Koran, while probably Donald Trump and you only read Islamophobic attacks on it.

Most Muslims disagree with how the Saudi royal government treats women. During the days of the Prophet Mohamed, women rode on horses, donkeys, camels. The Koran does not say anything negative on that. The logical consequence of that is, over 90% of Muslims in the world think, that women today should be able to drive cars. They can do so everywhere in the world, except for one country: Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabian Muslim women protest against that often.

Also, Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world which practices the death penalty by beheading or stoning. Contrary to all Muslim majority countries in the world. Still, the Saudi Arabian dictatorial government have been for ages, and still are, close friends of the Pentagon and the CIA.

‘ heaven – wherever THAT is supposed to be – ‘ Maybe you can ask a Roman Catholic priest, a Southern Baptist preacher, etc?

There is no female mutilation for most Muslim women (even ISIS, whatever their other atrocities, don’t practice it). It is a regional problem of people living around the Sahara, both Muslim and Christian. It was already a problem in ancient Egypt and other countries before Islam or Christianity. It still is a problem for many Christian women in Kenya, etc.

Finally, the rule against eating pork in Islam is derived from Jewish dietary laws. So, you had better ask a rabbi maybe? The pigs themselves, very probably, much prefer to be not eaten to cruel treatment in non-Muslim and non-Jewish factory farming and slaughterhouses:

  4. I want to say a few things about Donald Trump and specifically about his comments tonight that we should ban all Muslims from coming to the United States, even American Muslims returning home from overseas.

It’s fun for the political media to treat Donald Trump like he’s the lead character in a soap opera or the star player on a baseball team. But the truth is his language is dangerous, especially as it empowers his supporters to act out against Muslims, Latinos, and African-Americans.

Poll after poll shows that I am the candidate best suited to take on Donald Trump and every other Republican running for president.

Help me show the best of America — not the worst that Trump exemplifies. Help us win.

Donate $3 to our campaign now to condemn Donald Trump’s hate and racism.

The United States is a great nation when we stand together, but we are weak when we allow racism and xenophobia to divide us. So let’s send a message that we stand together.

    In solidarity,

    Donald Trump has outdone himself.

Frankly, we could hardly believe it when we heard Trump’s call for Muslims to be banned from entering the country.

And unbelievably, Speaker Paul Ryan has reaffirmed his willingness to support Trump’s presidential candidacy.

When asked this morning if he would still support Donald Trump for president in light of these bigoted remarks, Ryan claimed “I’m going to support whoever the Republican nominee is.”

Either Ryan supports Trump’s anti-Muslim policies, or he lacks the backbone to denounce him. Either way, it’s disgusting.

Will you join Americans across the country in calling for Paul Ryan to abandon Trump for President?
