Translated from Ecomare museum on Texel island in the Netherlands, on 4 December 2015:
Woodcock in the garden
They can hide so well that you rarely get to see them. Yet Ecomare staff member Pam Lindeboom last week found two birds in her garden. One was unfortunately deceased, the other one still alive but seemed to have a problem with its wing. Fortunately, little turned out to be wrong and after a brief recuperation it could be released again.
