This photo shows a Blyth’s reed warbler, ringed on Fair Isle in Scotland today.
The Fair Isle Bird Observatory reports on Twitter today:
Pallid Harrier and Blyth’s Reed [warbler] still present. Corncrake + Ring Ouzel new + few new Yellow-browed [warbler]s.
I love these little birds, so beautiful and delicate

Indeed! Blyth’s reed warblers are extremely eastern European and Asian birds, so it is rare to see one in Scotland.
If this bird will be caught again, then people will know more about the migration of this species, helping with conservation.
