Birds counted on Dutch sandbank

This video is called Dunlin at St Gothian Sands in Cornwall.

This morning, on Dutch Vroege Vogels radio, a warden reported about counting birds on Engelsmanplaat, a Wadden Sea sandbank.

He had counted recently 30,000 birds. Dunlin (19,000 individuals) were the most frequent species.

There were some hundreds of red knots.

And three peregrine falcons, which made counting a bit more difficult by chasing other birds.
