The Ferguson, Mo., court clerk fired over racist emails that surfaced during a Justice Department investigation following the death of Michael Brown has a new job with another Missouri court, according to reports.

Mary Ann Twitty is now working part time at a court in Vinita Park, a city of 1,880 people about six miles from Ferguson, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Friday.

“I don’t understand why anyone would allow her to work in the halls of justice,” Ferguson Township Democratic committeewoman Patricia Bynes told the paper.

The Justice Department cited the questioned emails involving Twitty and two Ferguson police officers in a scathing March report criticizing Ferguson’s police and court operations.

One email included a photograph of Ronald Reagan feeding a baby chimpanzee with the caption, “Rare photo of Ronald Reagan babysitting Barack Obama in early 1962.”
