From People For the American Way in the USA:
Tell candidates to return white supremacist‘s campaign donations!
Reports show that Republican candidates including presidential candidates Ted Cruz, Rick Santorum, and Rand Paul have received tens of thousands of dollars in contributions from the leader of a white supremacist hate group connected to the recent mass killing at an African American church in South Carolina.
According to reports, Dylann Roof, the alleged shooter in the Charleston massacre, found early inspiration for his racist, segregationist views from Holt’s group, the Council of Conservative Citizens.
Even Ted Cruz, who has been defiant in the wake of the South Carolina tragedy against criticism of the SC’s flying of the Confederate battle flag outside of its Statehouse, has already announced he would return Holt’s donation.
Now, every candidate who has received money from him must do the same. Demand that they do!

MISSISSIPPI MAY REMOVE CONFEDERATE IMAGERY FROM FLAG In the wake of South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) calling for the removal of a Confederate battle flag from the South Carolina state capitol, a top Mississippi lawmaker is calling for a redesign of his state’s banner, which features the Confederate flag. And Walmart and Sears will stop selling Confederate flag merchandise. [AP]
