“We’ll go tomorrow to the new round of the negotiations in the European Summit, and for this reason we believe that in this summit, it will be one of the last summits that the Greek case will be discussed as a separate issue, and we believe that the agreement that will come soon will be beneficial also for the Greek population but also for the peoples of Europe.”

More than 50 organizations called on a march against austerity on Sunday (21st of June) in order to support the Greek people, and to show their solidarity to the Mediterranean country. Thousands of people responded in Brussels.
The mobilization was part of European solidarity week towards the Greek people.
Among the participants in the rally were organizations of the Left and Ecology, MEPs of the Left and trade unions.

While expressing his solidarity with the Greek people in Parliament, Belgian MP Raoul Hedebouw (PTB, Workers’ Party of Belgium,) called for a demonstration in Brussels on Sunday 21 June. Before his microphone was turned off (!), he concluded: “The debate today is about what kind of Europe we want.”
