Late in 2014, I made this new award: the Real Neat Blog Award. There are so many bloggers whose blogs deserve more attention. So, I will try to do something about that 🙂
It is the first award that I ever made. I did some computer graphics years ago, before I started blogging; but my computer drawing had become rusty 🙂
The ‘rules’ of the Real Neat Blog Award are: (feel free not to act upon them if you don’t have time; or don’t accept awards; etc.):
1. Put the award logo on your blog.
2. Answer 7 questions asked by the person who nominated you.
3. Thank the people who nominated you, linking to their blogs.
4. Nominate any number of bloggers you like, linking to their blogs.
5. Let them know you nominated them (by commenting on their blog etc.)
My seven questions are:
1. Where do most visits to your blog come from?
2. What is your favourite sport?
3. What has been a special moment for you in 2015 so far?
4. What is your favourite quote?
5. What was your favourite class when still at school?
6. Anything you had wished to have learned earlier?
7. What musical instrument have you tried to play?
My nominees are:
3. The European Amphibian & Reptile Blog
4. Paris & Les Deux-Sèvres en photographies
7. Blessed with a Star on the Forehead
10. The Lightening and The Fire
You gave me this award when I first started blogging. I didn’t know how to put the award logo on my blog or to answer the questions! However, I did thank you and again, your award gave me the confidence I needed to continue my blog. Again, thank you very much!!

Hi, thanks for your kind words! You can put the award logo in a blog post. Or on a special Awards page. Or on your sidebar, with going to Appearance; then to Widgets; then to Image. Whatever you like best 🙂

Oh wow Thank you so much – this is very kind of you indeed 🙂
My answers are:
1) I get the most blog visits from my articles on Telogen Effluvium – the process of losing hair from eating a Very Low Calorie Diet. This happened to me – it is interesting to know that I’m not alone.
2) I’m not at all sporty but my favourite sport to watch is Darts! All because of a television show I grew up watching called ‘Bullseye’. It was great. The sport is getting huge audiences now – the players come out to their theme songs and the atmosphere is great.
3) So far the most special moment for me in 2015 was starting a new job, supporting people with profound learning disabilities. Making a connection with someone when they cannot communicate using speech is just precious.
4) Best quote ‘Be nice. It’s that simple’. I don’t know who coined the phrase, but I try to live by it!
5) My favourite class at school was History. Mr Jones was a great teacher, and my imagination was fed vividly with tales from days gone by.
6) I wish I’d learned earlier that having the ‘perfect’ body is impossible, and utterly pointless.
7) I have tried to play – in order; the recorder, the oboe, the cello, the guitar, the keyboard. I was terrible at each and every one.
