Contract worker speaks on safety issues in US oil strike

In this interview, a contractor with extensive experience in oil refineries speaks on the long hours, dangerous conditions and other issues that have led to the largest strike in the oil industry since 1980.

COLOMBIAN oil workers gave notice on Wednesday of an indefinite strike in protest at job losses in the sector after the drop in global oil prices. About 10,000 oil workers have lost their jobs so far and the number could reach 25,000 by the end of the year: here.
