Boy faces risk of eye loss
February 4, 2015
Mohammed Alsawad, 13, is facing a risk of eye loss after he was shot to the face by security forces with buckshot, last Friday. Security forces had cracked down on a peaceful protest that was demanding the release of opposition leader Sheikh Ali Salman, in Duraz, where the boy’s grandparents live.
His father said the doctors will not be able to remove the buckshot pellets from his eye. A number of pellets have gone so deep in the head that they cannot be removed, he added.
