Adult, filmed in Burnley, Lancashire, on 30th June 2014 with a Canon PowerShot SX50 HS. Also known as Rosy Starling (Sturnus roseus).

BirdLife in the Netherlands reports today that this winter there are two rosy starlings in the Netherlands.
This species is rare in western Europe.
One is in a garden in Vlaardingen, the other one in a garden in Kollum. They like the special ‘bird peanut butter’ there.
Both are young birds. The Vlaardingen rosy starling had been caught and ringed in August 2014 in the east of Germany. See photos here.
