Murdoch Staff arrested in UK – Is Fox News Next?
30 January 2012
“Detectives on Saturday searched the offices of Rupert Murdoch‘s The Sun and arrested four journalists and a policeman in a widening probe into the bribing of police for information. The development finally drags Britain’s biggest-selling newspaper into the turmoil at Murdoch’s empire, after its stablemate the News of the World was shut down in disgrace in July amid a scandal over phone hacking…”. Ana Kasparian and Cenk Uygur discuss, including asking why Fox News is not being investigated.
Translated from NOS TV in the Netherlands:
Tender of radios stopped
Update: Monday 20 Oct 2014, 16:34
The police stops the procurement of handheld radios for the communication system C2000. The move follows the suspension of five police officers last week. The five are suspected of bribery in the procurement of goods.
The corps leaders will examine the procurement process, and consult external experts. The study should include examination of whether the contract was intentionally falsified.
A second tender of breath tests is stopped as well. This is done because apparently there are inconsistencies on the list of requirements that applicants must meet.
