August 2014, most visits ever to my blog

August 2014 was the month with most visits to my blog, ever since it moved to WordPress in December 2011: 29,316.

This is a bit unexpected, August being a summer month; and many blogs, including mine, usually get less visits in summer than in other seasons.

Before this August, the busiest month was, according to my WordPress counter, November 2012, with 28,225 visits.

There are differences between the November 2012 visits and the August 2014 visits.

The three blog posts, or pages, which attracted most visits in November 2012 were:

So, two blog posts about that sexual abuse scandal, then much in the news in Britain, plus the home page, together accounted for 9,831 visits, over a third of total visits.
