Pineapple.

2. When you travel, do you prefer planning every detail or just seeing where the road takes you?

I have to plan, as I don’t drive a car 🙂

3. Fill in the blanks. If I can accomplish _____ WORLD PEACE by the time I’m ____ DEAD, I’ll die happy.

4. If you could go back in time and change one event in history, what would it be?

Stopping World War I from starting; as it not only killed millions of people itself, but also contributed to many later wars up to now; very contrary to the official propaganda of it being ‘the war to end all wars’.

5. What’s the worst experience you’ve ever had at a restaurant?

Waiting for a very long time.

6. If you had to pick one outfit to wear for the rest of your life, what would it be?

The sturdiest one, least likely to get damaged in many years to come.

7. What’s your favourite episode from your favourite TV show and why?

The report on the 1992 Tour de France cycling race for women, the stage to Alpe d’Huez, high up in the Alps. Two cyclists were leading near the finish: Jeannie Longo from France, and Leontien van Moorsel from the Netherlands. Both riders did a track stand; which usually only happens in track cycling, not in road cycling, and certainly not in the mountain stage. See here.

8. Describe the best concert you’ve ever been to.

An ‘unofficial’ concert in London, announced just by one note in a shop, by the Clash, the Mo-dettes, and Ten Pole Tudor.

9. What’s the best piece of advice anyone has ever given you?

Start birdwatching.

10. If you were to face a boggart from Harry Potter, what form would it take?

A nuclear bomb.

11. If the Queen of England was invited to dine at your house, what three courses would you cook?

Three vegan courses, as a counterweight to all the hunting going on at royal courts.
