  1. Whilst I deplore any misuse of the honours system by David Cameron, the Labour Party have a cheek to complain after their own abuses. You only have to look at John Prescott to see a man ill suited to and undeserving of an honour. Honours should be in the purview of the Monarch only and the House of Lords should not be packed with party faithfuls.
    Few politicians, who are paid to do their job, are deserving of honours as they don’t make a huge difference to the people of the country. Exceptions are of course Nye Bevan, Lloyd George and Winston Churchill and maybe Margaret Thatcher who disliked as she was, stood her ground over The Falklands.remaining a British dependency,
