Japanese eels endangered


This video is called National Geographic: Wild Japan | Nature Documentary.

From Associated Press we hear today, that Japanese eels are now on the red list as “endangered”. Traditionally, these eels are an important food item in Japan.

The article mentions overfishing as a cause. It does not mention the Japanese eels damaged by the radioactivity of the Fukushima nuclear disaster.
