This video was made by a drone, flying over Utopia nature reserve on Texel island in the Netherlands on 13 May 2014. The aim was to count Sandwich terns‘ nests.
5000 Sandwich tern couples are nesting there now. A record number for the whole of Texel.
Finally, a good use for drones!
