25 March 2014. After 24 March in Costa Rica in forests near the Tarcoles river, today in the morning the Tarcoles river itself by boat. Among birds on the river banks, turquoise-browed motmots. In Nicaragua, north of Costa Rica, they are the national bird.
Mangrove swallows flying over the water.
A male great-tailed grackle on the bank.
Not far away, a spotted sandpiper.
Two young yellow-crowned night herons on branches hanging over the water.
Flocks of groove-billed anis.
A green iguana which is really green, unlike many other ones which are greyish.
Two turquoise-browed motmots near their nest.
A black iguana.
Cattle egrets in a tree.

Who created such a beautiful bird? I love his smooth pistachio body with turquoise highlights – incredible.
