Blackbird singing, magpies on the balcony

This video from Britain is called Song and calls of the Blackbird.

Today, the two magpies visited my balcony again to feed on seeds. After that, one of them flew to the nest.

Later, when it was already dusky, a blackbird sang. I already heard a blackbird sing in December 2013. Now, it is 2014, but still officially winter, and blackbirds are supposed to start singing in spring. Maybe because temperature now in this mild winter is higher than on many days of the cold 2013 spring?
