This is a great spotted woodpecker video.
Today, to the cemetery again.
A jay.
Two redwings in a tree.
A wood pigeon on a tombstone.
Two siskins in a tree. A greenfinch. A male chaffinch.
Then, a male and a female great spotted woodpecker, together on a tree branch.
A nuthatch calls.
The mere mention of redwings makes me smile. My mother taught me the redwinged blackbirds only nest in bulrushes – one of my earliest memories 🙂

Another one of those blogging coincidences – I posted about a sparrow hawk and a redwing today too – the redwing came second! http://rollingharbourlife.wordpress.com/2014/01/05/rus-in-urbe-a-redwing-visits-london/ RH
