Blog of the Year 2013 Award and WordPress Family Award, thanks Shaun and Alex!

Shaun of the blog Looking for reasoning to a complicated world has been so kind to nominate Dear Kitty. Some Blog for the Blog of the Year 2013 Award.

And also a Thank you! to Alex of the blog Photography | Nature, for nominating my blog for the Blog of the Year 2013 Award!

This is my tenth nomination for that blog award. The maximum number of stars for this award is six.  So, I can’t add an tenth star; still, many thanks for nominations #9 and #10, to Shaun and Alex!

Unlike other awards which you can only add to your blog once-this award is different!

When you begin you will receive the ’1 star’ award- and every time you are given the award by another blog- you can add another star!

There are a total of 6 stars to collect.

Which means that you can check out your favorite blogs- and even if they have already been given the award by someone else- you can still bestow it on them again and help them to reach the maximum of 6 stars! You can either ‘swop’ your badge for the next one each time you are given the award- or even proudly display all six badges if you are lucky enough to be presented with the award 6 times!

I start this award on the basis that the WordPress family has taken me in, and showed me love and a caring side only WordPress can. The way people take a second to be nice, to answer a question and not make things a competition amazes me here. I know I have been given many awards, but I wanted to leave my own legacy on here by creating my own award, as many have done before. This represents “Family” we never meet, but are there for us as family. It is my honour to start this award”.
