Russia’s lower house of parliament has given a third reading to the amnesty bill, which means jailed members of Pussy Riot punk band may be freed before the New Year and charges against arrested Greenpeace activists are also to be dropped. READ MORE here.

Some what ironic, in terms of Russia’s past history, well within the past century, that the Pussy punk group should offend the Russian Establishment, on church protocol, when under the prior system, the church would be destroyed as a enemy of the state, and would not even be a back drop for a performance, let alone a criminal offence.
