Translated from NOS TV in the Netherlands:
Opposition wants eavesdropping investigation
Update: Tuesday, 5 Nov 2013, 21:04
The opposition parties D66, CDA, GL and SP in the House want a parliamentary investigation into the bugging by the U.S. National Security Agency.
Last month, whistleblower Edward Snowden announced that 1.8 million phone calls in the Netherlands were bugged by the NSA.
The opposition wants to know the extent of the spying, which Dutch intelligence services were involved and who knew about the bugging. [Government coalition parties] PvdA and VVD want to wait for the investigation by the Security and Intelligence Committee on Oversight.
