This 2015 video is about the history Of Halloween.
Dutch daily Algemeen Dagblad reports that party centre De Kooi in Bunschoten has canceled a Halloween party which they had planned. This is because local Christian fundamentalists opposed this; after elsewhere in the Netherlands Halloween activities had already been banned by ultra-Christian politicians.
In the Dutch TV show Vandaag de Dag this morning, Bunschoten religious fundamentalists called Halloween “a satanic festival”. “I curse that festival”. “It will not happen”.
A historian of folklore explained in that show that historically, Halloween, far from being devil worship, is about driving away devils.
Some Bahraini MPs want to ban Halloween and are demanding action against a government ministry for allegedly organising an event last Thursday.
