Natuurpunt Studie in Belgium reports that on 3 September 2013, an airplane monitored marine mammals in the Belgian coastal waters. They saw some seals and about thirty porpoises.
And also the second humpback whale ever seen in the North Sea near Belgium; in the water near Middelkerke village.
The first “Belgian” humpback ever had been seen on 30 September 2011, west of Zeebrugge.
