The Dutch invertebrate zoologists of EIS-Nederland report today about a big biodiversity research campaign all over the Netherlands, on 8 June.
In Limburg province, a spider species, new for the Netherlands, was discovered then. It was the species Theonina cornix; already known from other European countries like Belgium.
This video is about the entomological research in Limburg, when the new spider was discovered.
Other rare invertebrate animals, seen on 8 June, include the flower fly Caliprobola speciosa; the ant Temnothorax affinis; and the moth Cyclophora pendularia.
