What an interesting video! I once almost stepped on a European Adder in Finland, luckily nothing happened. Snakes are misunderstood as most of them would not harm people unless threatened.

Good that nothing happened! You were privileged to see this adder, as Finland is about its northernmost range; I have never seen one (I did see a grass snake).

There are surprisingly many of the European Adders in Finland, I even know people who have been bitten by those snakes! But they are quite shy so you don’t see them too often. Oh yes, the grass snake is nice, I also saw one last summer!
