This is a video about a young male Grévy’s zebra. He was born on 8 July in Amersfoort zoo in the Netherlands.
The name of the new born zebra is Nelson.

I watched a special a couple of weekends ago of a Zebra being born whose father had been killed. The new leader of the group or “father” began to attack it instantly. The mother tried to stop the attack but it was of no use. It was so sad. I did not realize this was part of their “culture.” The animal and nature world continues to amaze me. It can be cruel at times. Fortunately this has a happy ending.
