This video is about a coot family; while a willow warbler sings in the background.
There were four chicks at the coot nest.
Then, probably because of the cold spring, only two chicks were left.
Today, I saw only one chick. It was sitting besides a parent on the nest. It was now over half the size of its parents.
The other parent swam to the nest with a yellow water-lily leaf in its bill. That leaf made the nest still higher. Maybe necessary, as many boats pass the nest, causing waves.
