5 June 2013. Still after seeing the long-tailed ducks, in Adventdalen valley on Spitsbergen. This time, we don’t go to the bigger lake north of the main road, but to an area with small lakes, south of the main road. A male snow bunting sits on a pole.
Then, it flies away.
Two reindeer. One adult; one juvenile.
A dunlin on a lakelet bank. Later, it flies to the dirt road; it sits down there, next to a male snow bunting. The same bunting which sat on the pole before?
Then, another snow bunting male. This one has a ring around its leg.
