Goldfinches are quite common in much of the Dutch countryside, and sometimes in winter also around feeders in cities.
I don’t know where this video was made exactly. I have seen goldfinches, eg, in groups in the Polders van Poelgeest nature reserve near Leiden. They fed on thistle fruits there. I have seen a painted lady butterfly there as well.

Goldfinches nest in the neighbourhood there. Painted lady butterfly numbers are a bit unpredictable, as they are long distance migratory butterflies.
