This video, by Agnetha van der Kuijl in the Netherlands, is about one-day-old coot babies.
Today, again to the coots’ nest.
One parent in the water close to the nest.
The other parent sitting on the nest, with one chick besides it.
Two more small chicks’ heads protruding from the parent’s wings.
A ship passes. Waves. The nest rocks and rolls. Anxious (?) chicks’ sounds.
The nest holds. The waves subside.
